GeoDecor’s cornerstone is the company’s C.E.O., Thomas E. Lindgren, whose 25 years of intensive field and lab experience inform every aspect of the company.

Photos of outstanding fossils and minerals, acquired from around the world, will be presented on this site as they become available. Personal viewing of specimens in our warehouse showroom in El Segundo, California, is by appointment only.

Thomas E. Lindgren at the Fossil Quarry

An internationally recognized expert and lecturer, particularly with regard to the Green River Formation fossils of Wyoming, Thomas E. Lindgren’s 25-year career has spanned and integrated the worlds of scientific and commercial paleontology.

Mr. Lindgren’s passion for natural history began as a teenager with a high school field trip in which student labor was instrumental in saving a Native American archaeological site from the ravages of erosion due to dam development. His ongoing association with Dr. Lance Grande of the Field Museum and Dr. Paul Buchheim of Loma Linda University illustrates his support of scientific progress in the field of paleontology.

As president of Green River Geological Labs, Inc. from 1989-2001, and as C.E.O. of GeoDecor from 2001 to the present, Mr. Lindgren has provided fossil specimens for world-renowned museums such as The American Museum of Natural History in New York, The Field Museum in Chicago, The Denver Museum, The Smithsonian and Museums of Scotland. He has also donated fossils to educational institutions and museums in the United States and abroad, expressing his commitment to worldwide appreciation of the earth's paleontological treasures.

On a more commercial plane, Mr. Lindgren has sold fossils to discerning private collectors, and at international fossil and mineral shows, since the mid-1980's. He also appeared as QVC's "Real-Life Indiana Jones" on "The Fossil Exhibit" in 1993 and 1994. His membership in the American Association of Paleontological Suppliers ensures that GeoDecor’s preparation and handling of fossils meets the standards of the scientific community.
